St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church was founded in 1895. It is the oldest church in the Lake of Bays Anglican Parish. This charming white church sits along the main street of the village of Dorset. We have worship services year round, and many other activities throughout the year. The summer choir is enthusiastic and musically gifted.
Dorset has a large seasonal population, and the size of our community varies greatly from winter to summer. The summer is filled with community dinners, festivals and children's programs. The main event in the winter is the Snowball Festival every February. If you are checking out Dorset, make sure to join us for church on Sundays at 11:00am!
