St. Ambrose

Baysville, Sundays at 9:00am
This handsome red-brick church sits along the highway as you travel through Baysville. It was built in 1922, after the first St. Ambrose church built in 1898 was destroyed by fire. This is the only Anglican Church in Canada to be named for St. Ambrose, an Italian Bishop who lived in the fourth century. The warm wooden interior and the beautiful stained glass provide peaceful and spiritual surroundings for congregants and visitors. Visitors are always welcome. Come enjoy our music and fellowship. If you are looking for a church home, let us commend ours to you.
The long-time companion of this church is the
parish hall that sits beside it – an old school house that was brought
to the site in 1919. We have just finished a building project to restore the parish hall which carries historic designation and build a corridor to attach the hall
to the church for year-round use. The addition will provide an office,
a kitchen and, as a final blessing, a bathroom. We have experienced some strong support, for which we are very grateful, from some Baysville area residents, Anglican and otherwise. Can you help? Your contribution towards this project will benefit not only the congregation of St. Ambrose, but the community of Baysville as a whole, as space will be available for community functions as needed. There are many ways to support The St Ambrose Building Campaign. Committee members would be pleased to speak with you to discuss our building plans and the possibility of your donation. Donors will be recognized and tax receipts issued.
Thank you for your thoughtful consideration of this exciting project in our community
