St. Ambrose

St. Ambrose

Baysville, Sundays at 9:00am

This handsome red-brick church sits along the highway as you travel through Baysville. It was built in 1922, after the first St. Ambrose church built in 1898 was destroyed by fire. This is the only Anglican Church in Canada to be named for St. Ambrose, an Italian Bishop who lived in the fourth century. The warm wooden interior and the beautiful stained glass provide peaceful and spiritual surroundings for congregants and visitors. Visitors are always welcome. Come enjoy our music and fellowship. If you are looking for a church home, let us commend ours to you.

The long-time companion of this church is the parish hall that sits beside it – an old school house that was brought to the site in 1919. This year we are restoring the parish hall which carries historic designation and building a corridor to attach the hall to the church for year-round use. The addition will provide an office, a kitchen and, as a final blessing, a bathroom.
